The Republican National Committee appears to have an affinity for hiring the sons of well-known journalists.

James Hewitt is the relatively newly hired deputy press secretary for the RNC. His father is popular conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

dD4_BRwXJames replaces Raffi Williams (pictured here), son of FNC liberal commentator Juan Williams, whose role at the RNC has shifted.

Asked to comment on the unusual phenomenon, RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer told The Mirror why these two men were hired.

“While both Raffi and James have famous fathers, they are were both hired because they are extremely talented in their own right,” said Spicer. “Both of them have very promising careers in politics and there is a good chance I will work for one of the them in the future.”

Who says your successful fathers can’t get you places?
