TWITTER FIGHT! Hugh Hewitt Tells Breitbart’s Boyle To ‘Wake The Hell Up’

With the help of journo-activist Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News may burn key bridges leading up to the 2016 election.

On Thursday morning, Twitter warfare broke out between Boyle and conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt after Boyle wrote a 6,000-word story ripping on presidential hopeful Scott Walker hiring NRSC strategist Brad Dayspring.

Boyle calls the hire “questionable” and “anti-conservative.” He said the hire is hurting Walker’s reputation. “But Dayspring isn’t reviled just by conservatives,” wrote Boyle. “Lots of D.C. Republicans don’t like him either as he’s had a history of brash encounters with almost anyone he meets, even those supposedly on his own team.”

Shockingly, Dayspring did not respond to questions posed by Breitbart News for his story.

Please note: This is Boyle’s second Twitter fight this week that landed in The Mirror. His last was with CNN senior digital correspondent Chris Moody.

Unlike the fight with Moody, this one got bloody. So much so that the sparring partners brought up the late Andrew Breitbart and used him as a weapon. Hewitt can’t believe Boyle writes under the Andrew Breitbart banner. A horrified Boyle can’t even believe that Hewitt “invoked” his master’s name.

(Somewhere, somehow, Breitbart is covering his eyes.)

HEWITT: Really off the mark w/ piece on @BDayspring I know he’s controversial, and hard-hitting success brings wounds, but 1 of our best.

BOYLE:  He’s lied numerous times and has spent his career crushing conservative Republicans.

HEWITT: Simply not true Matt. I know @BDayspring and know where @NRSC made mistakes as well, but per earlier Tweets, stay focused on HRC.

BOYLE: Hugh, with all due respect, you have no idea what you’re talking about. I was there. You weren’t.

HEWITT: Iran, IS, Havana, DOD sequestration…and you are tweeting about 2o12 and MI Senate race. Wake the hell up.

BOYLE: I’m wide awake Hugh. You admit @MittRomney was an abject failure, however, who couldn’t win White House?

BOYLE: And since Romney couldn’t win with his model, should Republicans keep doing the same thing & expecting diff result?

HUGH: I don’t know you, but I knew Andrew very well. Don’t know how you ended up writing under his banner. #Done

BOYLE: You know me well actually. You had me on your show a while back, actually. Was pleasant.

BOYLE: Also Andrew and I were very close. Believe me, I know what he wanted. How dare you invoke him, btw?

Who won the fight? The seasoned and respected Hewitt is the clear victor.

If Breitbart News had any brains, they might want to court someone like Hewitt. Telling one of the few people who could lend Boyle credibility and who is still willing to take him seriously that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about can only accelerate his demise.
