A good example of wasting one’s time is where those in the west look for moderate Muslims to unite and condemn the violent teachings and actions of believers of Islam. It will never happen on any scale that would remotely make a difference in stopping the steady wave of Jihad attacks around the globe.
Even the insect-sized number of European leaders who have shown momentary clarity in their leftist judgment and admit that Islam is the cornerstone of terror attacks in Europe are suffering from a blend of delusion and wishful thinking when focusing on seeking help from the moderate Muslim community.
A significant eye-opener for this reporter came during a three-year period of discussions on social media regarding Islam with individuals identifying themselves as Muslims. It became apparent that merely pointing out violent text in the Quran was routinely met with denial, a revision of the historical facts, and a lengthy verbal assault that included a large dose of profanity. After a period when it was evident that facts and reality were not successful methods to be used in convincing Muslims of the violent history of their religion, this reporter decided to switch things around and join ongoing conversations while pretending to be a radical Islamist. Conversations, where moderate Muslims would be debating either Christians or Jews about the peaceful aspects of Islam, were the new focus. At the moment in the conversation where there was talk about living peacefully with other religions, this reporter would immediately chastise and label the Muslim participant as being a Kafir or infidel, which means a “non-believer.” Of the dozen or so times this tactic was used, how many moderate Muslims do you think rebuked the allegations made against them? The answer is zero. Only one Muslim responded with trying to reiterate the peaceful aspects of Islam, but not a single moderate Muslim came back to confront the condemnation made by this reporter. And the reason is simple – fear.
By reading the Qur’an, it becomes crystal clear that Muslims, who are true believers in the teachings of Muhammad are ordered to subjugate or kill the infidel. Qur’an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah (a tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
Qur’an 9:111—Surely Allah has bought of the believers their persons and their property for this, that they shall have the garden; they fight in Allah’s way, so they slay and are slain. Qur’an 9:123—O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness.
So Muslims who practice the teachings of Muhammad, such as ISIS are also ordered to treat non-practicing Muslims as non-believers. In one of the most respected books on Islam, the hadith collection Sahih Bukhari, Muhammad told believers that they would receive a heavenly reward for killing Muslims who say they believe but do not put their religion into practice. So any Muslim that denounces the violent teachings in the Qur’an is considered no better than an infidel and will suffer the same fate.
In 2014, The United Nations released a 26-page report detailing the killing of Muslims by ISIS. The facts reveal that although ISIS fighters routinely slaughter Christians, there are more Muslims killed than any other group.
Since thousands of peaceful Muslims are butchered, beheaded and raped by ISIS, and since according to a 2017 Pew Research report, there are 1.8 billion Muslims said to be living around the world, one would expect the protests against ISIS would be massive. But according to American author and blogger of the “counter-jihad” movement in the United States, Robert Spencer, In November 2015, in Dearborn, Michigan, only one hundred Muslims showed up for a rally against ISIS and “Islamophobia, ” and earlier that month only 30 showed up to protest the massacre in Paris. In July 2015 a rally by Muslims in Ireland protesting ISIS had fifty participants and a whopping ten Muslims showed support at a 2014 rally in Houston organized by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
The facts destroy the promise perpetrated by the left that peaceful Muslims should be relied upon to stand up against Islamic terrorists. According to a 2016 British counter-terrorism Program report, 2 in 3 Muslims in Britain would not report terror plot to police and a Policy Exchange poll that same year found that 48 percent of British Muslims would not report a person “linked to terror.” In her Presidential debates, Hillary Clinton stated many times, that the “First line of defense against radicalization,’ are Muslim Americans. And in a speech given in May 2013 at National Defense University, President Obama stated, “The best way to prevent violent extremism inspired by violent jihadists is to work with the Muslim American community. It’s as if a tsunami is racing toward the shores of America and those on the left are telling Americans to trust the calm waters and go for a swim.
The evidence that America has a Muslim population sympathetic to extremist views is spelled out in a September 7, 2014, New York Post article. The piece mentions a self-proclaimed moderate mosque located in Cambridge, Mass that graduated from its congregation many leaders in the Jihad movement. Such pillars of American society claiming membership were Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Aafia Siddiqui, a MIT scientist-turned-al Qaeda agent, who in 2010 was sentenced to 86 years in prison for planning a New York chemical attack, Tarek Mehanna, who got 17 years in jail in 2012 for conspiring to use automatic weapons to murder shoppers in a suburban Boston mall. Even the mosque’s founder and first president, Abdurahman Alamoudi received 23 years in prison in 2004 for plotting terrorism.
In addition, the San Bernardino attackers Syed Rizwan Farook, and his wife Tashfeen Malik were active members in their mosque and according to a December 2015 Breitbart article, one of the organization’s clerics, Roshan Abbassi, was found to have had repeated contact with Farook in the months before the deadly attack which left 14 people dead and 24 people injured.
Did any of the moderate Muslims from the mosque assist the FBI before the San Bernardino slaughter? Nope. And as the body count rises around the world with an abundance of evidence that the Muslim community is predominantly silent or silently supports extremist activity, the left continues to advance the delusional belief that the first line of defense is working.
