Iran claimed President Donald Trump showed “ignorance” by grouping Iran with “rogue regimes” like China and North Korea in his Tuesday State of the Union speech.

Foreign Miniser Iran’s Javad Zarif took to Twitter to express his disgust Wednesday that Trump could possibly group Iran with North Korea as “rogue regimes.”

“Trump again confirms his ignorance of Iran & region. Everyone knows where he stands; and it’s certainly not with Iranians,” Iran Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted Tuesday. “His ‘virtuous,’ ‘democratically- elected’ clients in our region may cheer, but not those on receiving end of their tyranny & weapons, incl Yemeni children.”

Yemen is in the middle of a civil war in which Iran and the U.S. are supporting opposing factions.

Trump called on Congress to fix “the fundamental flaws” in the international nuclear agreement with Iran, the U.S., five other nations and the European Union. He also voiced support for recent protests in Iran against the country’s current leadership.

“When the people of Iran rose up against the crimes of their corrupt dictatorship, I did not stay silent,” Trump said. “America stands with the people of Iran in their courageous struggle for freedom.”
