California Senators Kamala Harris and Dianne Feintstein have canceled three meetings with acting ICE director Thomas Homan to discuss immigration enforcement, the director told Fox and Friends Thursday morning.

“I tried to meet with Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein three separate occasions in the last three months about what I.C.E. is doing. They canceled every one of meetings. They don’t want to know the facts. They want to play political game, put smoke and mirrors up what I.C.E. Is doing,” Homan declared angrily Thursday.

Harris lambasted ICE and the Trump administration the previous evening for suing the state of California for declaring itself a sanctuary state, prohibiting its state law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration officials.

“This Administration and Jeff Sessions, in particular, have clearly put a target on the back of California and California’s going to fight,” Harris said Wednesday evening, adding “and, I think that these folks are really mired in rolling back the clock in time and that’s not going to happen. California represents the future. And — and they don’t like it, but there you go.”

UPDATE:

Representatives for Harris and Feinstein told The Daily Caller “This meeting was most recently canceled because Senator Feinstein had a meeting at the White House on gun safety in the wake of the Parkland shooting. Just yesterday, the ICE Director’s office sent proposed dates to meet with the two senators and we look forward to making time work.”
