A Republican Las Vegas political adviser allegedly enslaved and abused his ex-fiancée before he was arrested in late March, according to a Wednesday report.

Benjamin Sparks, 35, reportedly had his former 46-year-old fiancée sign a contract that outlined her responsibilities as his “slave in training,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. The woman, whose name has not been released, has reportedly provided copies of emails, text messages and even the signed contract between her and Sparks to authorities.

Sparks has reportedly worked as a high-level staffer on a number of national campaigns, including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign and Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s anti-recall campaign in 2012. More recently he worked on Republican Cresent Hardy’s campaign for Congress, before he was fired amid the alleged domestic dispute between Sparks and his ex-fiancée.

The five-page “slave in training” contract, obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, signed by Sparks’ ex-fiancée reportedly stated that she would be his “slave and property,” meaning she would be forced to kneel and avoid eye contact when he would see her, be naked at all times, have sexual relations with him whenever he requested and would make her wear a collar when the two were in a private setting.

“He was very demanding and did not take no for an answer,” Sparks’ former fiancée said. “Over the last month it escalated into very rough sex where he’d actually hurt me. He back-handed me … and forced himself on me.”

Police became aware of the situation on March 29, one day after Sparks sent her text messages asking her to be bound and blindfolded and then have sex with multiple other men in front of him. Sparks’ ex-fiancée said that request was the last straw.

The two fought over the requests, until Sparks called the police, telling them his ex-fiancée was going to commit suicide and that she was being physically hit by her, which she denied. When police arrived they found her bruised and without a fingernail.

Sparks is wanted for domestic battery in Nevada and reportedly fled to Texas and left all of his personal items behind, Sparks’ ex-fiancée said.
