Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci predicted Tuesday on “Fox & Friends” that the GOP will retain the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterm elections.

Scaramucci said President Donald Trump’s tax policy has encouraged people to spend their cash, leading to more jobs and increased economic growth.

“People are unleashing cash,” Scaramucci said. “We built up trillions of dollars of cash on the S&P 500. The president’s tax reform is actually unleashing that cash and getting deployed into the marketplace, at the small company level and large company level.”

“That means more jobs, more growth, more investment capital,” he added.

Scaramucci thinks Trump will ultimately outperform expectations and help keep the House under GOP control.

“The very good news as I said to you guys a few months ago, [that capital] is going to start to filter into wage data as we go into the midterms. And once again, I think the president is going to surprise people, because the expectation is that we are going to lose the House,” he said.

“But I was out last night with Tom MacArthur. I was helping him fundraise. He’s the congressman here in northern Jersey. We think we can still keep the House,” Scaramucci concluded.

MacArthur represents the 3rd Congressional District in south Jersey.
