“Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski called President Donald Trump’s newest lawyer Rudy Giuliani “morally unhinged” Thursday morning.

Brzezinski’s full quote was, “You know there’s something different, though. There’s something morally unhinged. I mean, I thought, I don’t agree with a lot of his policies and political points of view, but I thought he had some great moments in his career as an American.”
The entire “Morning Joe” segment was about Giuliani’s recent comments saying that the special counsel, led by Robert Mueller, allegedly told him that they are not able to indict a sitting president.
During the segment, they discussed what the president’s lawyer has already said, which is that the White House will discredit any outcome of the special counsel except for a full and complete exoneration of any wrongdoing.
Frank Figliuzzi, a former counterintelligence at the FBI, said on the show about the White House’s plan to discount all findings, “The phrase ‘tear it down’ is really telling because it implies we don’t really have a legal strategy rather we’re going to continue to tear down the institutions and the people that got us here.”
Giuliani previously told CNN, “All they get to do is write a report. They can’t indict. At least they acknowledge that to us after some battling, they acknowledged that to us.”
The special counsel’s team said it would follow longstanding Justice Department guidelines, which states that a president cannot be indicted while in office.
