Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced his resignation Tuesday following a sexual misconduct scandal.

The Republican governor has been under fire for the alleged scandal, which included threats and unwanted physical altercations. Greitens also allegedly misused a charity donor list, according to Fox News.

A bipartisan legislative committee looked into the claim of sexual abuse by the hairstylist, which include allegations against Greitens of coercing the woman into sexual acts and other threats of blackmail as he took photos of the woman while she was blindfolded.

The woman also stated that Greitens had slapped her when he learned that she was having an affair with someone other than him.

Greitens said he would not resign, but according to sources he will announce his resignation. (RELATED: Committee Report Reveals Graphic Allegations Against Missouri Governor)
