A “large explosion” at a Kentucky UPS hub sent at least eight people to the hospital Wednesday, with two suffering from non life-threatening injuries while the remaining six were brought only as a precaution.

Authorities at the scene in Lexington, Ky., claimed the explosion was “accidental” and made no allusions to possible terrorist activity, Fox News reported. Roughly a dozen people were taken to the hospital, according to the Associated Press.

Lexington fire battalion Chief Jason Wells said the explosion caused substantial structural damage to the vehicle maintenance facility, and there were small fires around the building when authorities arrived.

This post will be updated as the situation develops.
