He’s got a resume that includes pimping, owning a brothel and starring in his own adult reality show — and he could be the next representative in the Nevada state legislature. Dennis Hof took the GOP primary Tuesday night, The Reno Gazette-Journal reported.

Hof beat James Oscarson, a three-term incumbent, for the nomination.

Hof, also known by a few as the author of “The Art of the Pimp,” says he owes his electoral triumph to President Donald Trump’s inspiration.

“It’s all because Donald Trump was the Christopher Columbus for me,” Hof informed the Associated Press. “He found the way and I jumped on it.”

Hof even describes himself as “The Trump of Pahrump” because Hof lives in Pahrum, Nevada. In a state where the economy runs on gambling, the odds are good for Hof to win his district against Democratic challenger Lesia Romanov. Oscarson won the last state election with 60 percent of the vote.

The budding lawyer already has a political issue to promote. In November, Nevada voters will decide whether the state should shut down brothels that are currently legal. Hof has six houses of ill-repute that would be closed by the proposition and he’s already dismissed the proposal as a political attack from his Republican opponent.

Whether the motion passes or not, Hof says he’s going to sell some of his bawdy houses in order to focus more on his new political career.
