MSNBC’s morning host Joe Scarborough suggested that the inspector general’s report proves that former FBI Director James Comey’s actions actually helped President Trump during the election.

“Donald Trump himself will not admit that James Comey, who he loathes, is the reason why he’s president of the United States,” Morning Joe stated.
“See, the IG report again, for those that are just tuning in, or for those who are too slow to actually operate household appliances, the bottom line of this report is that James Comey and FBI agents held on to evidence of Anthony Weiner’s laptop for a month, said they didn’t have time to actually look at it,” Scarborough continued. “And so they waited a month and then sent that letter 10 days before the election, guaranteeing that it would destroy Hillary Clinton’s campaign.”
The inspector general’s report showed previously unreleased text messages between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, in which Strzok said, “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.” (RELATED: ‘Willingness’ To Impact The Election: IG’s Clinton Report Is Loaded With Bombshells
“If we’re looking at what actually happened after some text messages were sent, that’s what happened and it accrued solely to the benefit of Donald J. Trump,” he concluded.
