President Donald Trump lectured G7 leaders on illegal immigration during a private meeting, the Wall Street Journal reports.

At one point, Trump criticized Europeans for allowing millions of migrants from across the Middle East and Africa to enter the continent unhindered, turning to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and saying:

“Shinzo, you don’t have this problem, but I can send you 25 million Mexicans and you’ll be out of office very soon.”

Trump has long criticized European migration policy and has praised the new anti-migrant government which recently came to power in Italy. Japan has extremely strict laws governing its immigration and refugee policy, accepting only 0.1 percent of its refugee applications in 2017.

Trump also took a shot at French President Emanuel Macron while discussing terrorism, telling him, “You must know about this, Emmanuel, because all the terrorists are in Paris.”
