Sunny Hostin, cohost of ABC’s “The View” tried to downplay White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders being kicked out of a Virginia restaurant on Monday’s show.

Sanders was asked to leave the Red Hen in Lexington, VA over the weekend because she works for the Trump administration. Most of “The View” hosts seemed to agree that she should not have been asked to leave until Hostin offered up her own hot take.
“I certainly don’t consider what happened to Sarah Sanders discrimination,” Hostin started. “And I will say when you are a public servant, you serve the public, and if I disagree with the way you are serving me, I think that I can say so.”
“But to say that she can’t eat in the restaurant?” Joy Behar interrupted. “Doesn’t that go a little far?”
Hostin then argued that because Sanders was “asked to leave” and the conversation was “cordial,” she wasn’t actually kicked out or refused service.
“When you become the face of this administration’s policies … the fact that she wasn’t able to eat at a restaurant, is that the same as children being ripped from their parents?” Hostin argued.
Meghan McCain jumped in the conversation and reminded everyone that Republican Rep. Steve Scalise was shot during a baseball practice last year over his political beliefs and said that is “not the America” she wants to live in.
