An illegal immigrant proved that President Trump’s zero-tolerance policy is working when she tried to warn others about the difficulties of entering the United States in a tweet earlier Monday morning.
“I would advise people to find another country to seek refuge. Because here the law is very tough, people don’t have a heart,” an immigrant mother says after being separated from her 7-year-old daughter for two months. Watch their touching reunion: https://t.co/BRuHSTMCJ4 pic.twitter.com/QNmnJ4ANx6

Buena Ventura Martin Godinez stated that, “I would advise people to find another country to seek refuge. Because here the law is very tough. People don’t have a heart.”
Martin Godinez was temporarily separated from her 7-year-old daughter Janne for the last two months, according to CBS News.
When people come into our Country illegally, we must IMMEDIATELY escort them back out without going through years of legal maneuvering. Our laws are the dumbest anywhere in the world. Republicans want Strong Borders and no Crime. Dems want Open Borders and are weak on Crime!

The video showed Godinez crying about being separated from her daughter, but did not provide the reason the family was separated, nor did it add any personal details about the family.
President Trump implemented a zero-tolerance policy earlier this year and it has received significant backlash. U.S. border security was separating groups of adults and children so children had a place to stay as their accompanying adults — sometimes parents— were arrested for crossing the border illegally. The president recently signed an executive order to stop that policy though.
The immigration debate has continued to be a hot topic and has morphed into a referendum on the immigration customs enforcement agency in recent weeks.
