Pro-choice activists are sending wire clothes hangers to Republican Sen. Susan Collins in an attempt to sway her vote for the president’s Supreme Court nomination.

Collins is pro-choice and has said she would not vote for a nominee that would overturn Roe v. Wade.

Collins will be a crucial confirmation vote for any Supreme Court nominee. With the Republicans in the Senate holding a one-seat majority, and only needing a simple majority to confirm, all it would take would be two Republicans to vote against a nominee for them to not be confirmed.

The senator from Maine has made her feelings about Roe v. Wade very clear over the last week.

“I would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade because that would mean to me their judicial philosophy did not include a respect for established decisions, established law,” Collins said on CNN this weekend. (RELATED: GOP Sen.
