While introducing his family after being announced as President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Monday night, Judge Brett Kavanaugh dropped two jokes that the audience absolutely loved.

“I have two spirited daughters” Kavanaugh said, turning and proudly smiling to his daughters who were standing behind him with their mother and the president. “Margaret loves sports and she loves to read.”
He continued, “Liza loves sports … and she loves to talk.”
The room erupted In laughter. Even President Trump, who was standing next to the Kavanaugh family, let out a hearty laugh.
Judge Kavanaugh then reached out to give his daughter Liza a high five.
“I have tried to create bonds with my daughters like my dad created with me. For the past seven years, I’ve coached my daughters’ basketball teams. The girls on the team call me ‘Coach K.’”
While the laughter of the second joke was not as immediate as the first, it picked up once members of the audience were able to make the connection to legendary Duke basketball coach Mike Kzyzewski, who notoriously goes by “Coach K.” (RELATED: President Trump’s Supreme Court Pick Is IN)
