Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Kerr announced Tuesday that they are expecting their second child, stating “here we go again.”
“Sup everybody……. guess who is gonna be a BIG brother! #thisdude #aldeanpartyof6,” the 41-year-old country singer captioned his post on Instagram, along with a shot of his and Kerr’s first-born, 7-month-old Memphis. (RELATED: Jason Aldean Opens ‘SNL’ With Message About The Las Vegas Shooting)
A short time later, Kerr posted the same snap on her social media account and captioned it, “Here we go again!”
Last year was filled with highs and lows for the “Dirt Road Anthem” singer who was performing on stage when a gunman opened fire during a huge music festival in Las Vegas in October.
Fifty-eight people were killed and hundreds more were injured in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
During his first concert back after the shooting, Aldean paid tribute to those who lost their lives and said that we can’t let people try to “make us live in fear.”
“Sometimes this country can be really divided– that’s really unfortunate to see,” the country singer told the crowd. “It’s been really cool to see all the love and support that’s been going on for the last 10 days or so because of what happened in Las Vegas. If we could do that on a daily basis the world would be a better place.”
“These people are gonna try to continue to hold us down … make us live in fear and be scared,” he added. “To those people who are going to try and do that I say: F**k you, we don’t really care.”
In December, Kerr and Aldean welcomed their first child together into the world. Alden also has two daughters from a previous marriage.
