Democratic Rep. Lois Frankel brought a clothes hanger to a meeting with reporters about President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court in Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday afternoon.

“I’m alarmed that five men will take us back to these days, I call them days of coat hanger medicine,” Frankel said, according to Laura Barron Lopez, a reporter for the Washington Examiner.

“When I was in college, in Boston, it was illegal for women to have access to contraception,” she added.

Following Kennedy’s retirement, the Huffington Post added a wire hanger to its banner. (RELATED: HuffPo Displays Clothing Hangers As Banner: ‘The End Of Roe’)
