Kathleen Williams, a Democratic House congressional candidate from Montana, released an ad saying she will not support Nancy Pelosi for a leadership position on Thursday.

WATCH:

The ad is titled “Fresh Start,” which is a clear reference to her hope for new party leadership.

“Unfortunately, this Congress is stuck in endless dysfunction and partisan gridlock,” Williams said.

“That’s why I won’t be voting for Nancy Pelosi for leader. Instead, I’ll push to find a new leadership team that ensures Congress works for all of us,” she continued.

Williams is not the only Democratic congressional hopeful who has announced opposition to Pelosi.

Katie Hill a Democratic candidate who is going up against Rep. Steve Knight, and California Democrat Gil Cisneros who is running to replace retiring Rep. Ed Royce, both tried distancing themselves earlier this week. (RELATED: California Dem Candidates Refused To Endorse Pelosi For Speaker At Rally Pelosi Headlined)

Williams is running against Republican Rep. Greg Gianforte in November. Gianforte won a special election in May 2017.
