MSNBC host Joe Scarborough claimed 80 percent of the Republican Party likes seeing President Donald Trump “doing the bidding” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Scarborough claimed Democrats were going to ride a blue wave in the upcoming midterm elections and accused GOP voters of supporting Trump’s “cozying up to a KGB spy.” (RELATED: Morning Joe Panel Can’t Contain Their Excitement Over Socialist Candidate’s Victory In New York)

“After the Democrats win big in the fall — I don’t know. The Republicans — more Republicans support Donald Trump now than they ever have, which means that more, you know 71 percent to 80 percent of Republicans said they liked the side of Donald Trump cozying up to a KGB spy and appearing to be his dupe,” Scarborough said on “Morning Joe” Monday.

Scarborough continued to bash Republican voters for their “blind brand loyalty” to Trump and predicted the current list of GOP accomplishments would not translate into success at the polls.

“71 to 80 percent of Republicans say they liked Donald Trump basically doing the bidding of Putin,” he continued.

“Undermining U.S. Foreign policy for the past 50 years and picking up what was Soviet policy for 50 years. Who knows?” he concluded. “Maybe that’s the Republican Party or maybe it’s just blind brand loyalty. Either way, I don’t think that drives people to the polls in November.”

This isn’t the first time Scarborough has accused the Republican Party of wanting to do Putin’s commands. Any effort by the GOP to impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein would be “doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding,” he said on July 16.
