Political commentator Dan Bongino said President Donald Trump has created a booming economy and has China “running scared,” Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

“I have to agree with [Trump], he said we’d get tired of winning. I am about as energetic about winning as I’ve ever been and there’s more ahead,” Bongino said. “Tax reform was just monumental. We’ve seen now the effects on the economy. 4.1 percent growth. By the way, a figure under Trump that Obama acolytes themselves said was going to be impossible. We’ve now hit that figure.” (RELATED: Dan Bongino Calls Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff A ‘Fraud And A Liar’)

Bongino also credited Trump with brokering a tariff deal with the EU (European Union) and said it could force the Chinese to the negotiating table, to discuss intellectual property rights.

“This announcement of going toward a zero tariff environment with one of the biggest trading partners in the world — Do you know what that means for American businesses? The massive amount of money that will be now essentially tax free on the tariff side going into Europe. This is huge,” he continued.

Bongino said Trump would be remembered as one of the most influential first term presidents in history if he is able to convince China to cut a tariff deal.

“The Chinese are running scared right now,” Bongino concluded. “Because now if we cut this deal with the EU, the Chinese will need to cut a deal as well. If we can get to zero tariffs with them and save our intellectual property, this guy’s going to be one of the most consequential American first term presidents in our history.”
