The West Hollywood City Council unanimously voted to remove President Trump’s “Walk of Fame” star Monday night.
John Duran, the city’s mayor, announced that the council passed a resolution that would ask the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the star.

The agenda explained that they were calling the vote, “due to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.(RELATED: City Council To Vote On Removing Trump’s Hollywood Star, Arguing His Policies Are Against Their Values)
“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk,” Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, said back in 2015.
Other figures like Bill Cosby, Kevin Spacey, and Brett Ratner, all of whom were accused of sexual misconduct, still have their stars.
Trump’s star has been destroyed twice in the last month, and it was also the location of two separate brawls.
