White House press secretary is an incredibly difficult job. You are held accountable by the press for nearly all of the president’s actions and, more recently, social media posts.

The press secretary has to assume that if the president goes to the bathroom, the media will have a question about it.

Most presidents go through at least two press secretaries in a term and often more than that; the job is extremely stressful and has a high turnover rate.

George W. Bush called the job a contentious position, and for good reason. President Trump has often called the press “the enemy of the people” and seems to have been clearly designated by the press as their adversary. (RELATED: Acosta Demands Sanders Denounce ‘Enemy Of The People’ Rhetoric)

But there are also great benefits to the job. It leads to powerful connections and former press secretaries are now in positions ranging from having their own show on Fox News to being high-level executives in major corporations such as McDonalds, Amazon and American Airlines.

With that in mind, let’s see who our favorite press secretary this side of 2000 is.
