For decades, politicians have made promises to the American people that they would work diligently to secure the border between the U.S. and Mexico. And not just politicians on the right – as this insightful video from America Working demonstrates, even liberal giants such as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Dianne Feinstein have admitted keeping illegal immigrants out to be an important and necessary task. Yet, after 30+ years of promises, the border is as porous as ever. How did this happen? America Working does an excellent job of explaining the crisis in painstaking detail, exploring the seven amnesties passed by Congress since Ronald Reagan was in office.
The history in question is not pretty. It features lies, misdirections and purposeful misappropriation of resources. It’s really something to see for yourself. Did you know, for example, that instead of arresting the 27.2 million that illegally entered our country from 2000 to 2016, there is evidence that the border control agencies only arrested 5.6 million? That amounts to 21 million illegal aliens, swept into the country without a trace.
