Sen. Rand Paul suggested members of President Trump’s White House staff who hold security clearances should be given a lie detector test.

The comments come on the heels of a bombshell New York Times article allegedly written by an anonymous member of the Trump administration. The article details how there is a “resistance” inside the Trump administration that is undermining Trump’s policies.

Paul told multiple reporters that those who are “talking to the media against the policy of the White House” ought to take “lie detector tests” if they work in the White House and have security clearances, according to CNN reporter Laurie Ure.

“Sen. Rand Paul says Trump would be justified in using lie-detector tests to find author of anonymous critical New York Times op-ed,” said Hill reporter Alex Bolton.

Multiple members of the administration have denied being the author, and Sarah Sanders called the author an “anonymous coward.”
