If Hillary Clinton had won in 2016, Nancy Pelosi would not be in Congress, according to the House minority leader herself.

Pelosi told CNN in a recent interview that had Clinton won, she would have stepped aside as the leader of the Democrats in the House.

“I do agree it’s time for new blood, and we need to move on,” Pelosi said in the interview. “If Hillary Clinton won and the Affordable Care Act was protected, I would be happy to go my way.”

Pelosi also said there is “no woman at the table” right now, and that puts the Affordable Care Act was “at risk.”

“As long as he’s here, I’m here,” Pelosi said, referring to president Trump.

Democrat Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan threatened to challenge the 78-year-old Pelosi for her minority leader position, and a number of Democrats in the House have refused to say if they will vote for her as speaker.

Trump has fought Pelosi and her leadership viciously as president, regularly bringing her up at campaign rallies and nicknaming her “MS-13 Lover Nancy Pelosi.”
