Washington Post opinion writer and MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capehart said that a testimony from Christine Blasey Ford — the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault — in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee will go badly for Republicans on MSNBC Monday afternoon.

WATCH:

“The optics of what could happen, I believe, will be horrendous for Republicans. Because she will sit before a Senate Judiciary Committee where the majority is all men,” Capehart began.

“And all white men, compared to the Democrats who are on the committee, who are, you know, the rainbow that is America right now. And so you’re going to have people, Republicans in the majority asking her questions, treating her in a way that is just going to put them in peril,” he added. (RELATED: Kavanaugh Reportedly Denied Being At The Party Where Alleged Sexual Misconduct Happened)

Capehart continued, “You’ll have a woman who is going to be baring her soul of a secret she’s had for 30-something years and they’re going to treat her terribly. The White House is going to treat her terribly. It’s only a matter of time before the president takes to Twitter and treats her terribly.”

Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a party when they were in high school in the 1980s back in July but it only became public within the past week. (RELATED: Kavanaugh Breaks Silence After Sexual Assault Allegation)
