Fox News crushed the other cable news outlets on Wednesday as the allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh dominated the news all week long.
According to Nielsen Media Research, a staggering 3,356,000 people tuned into Fox News Channel during the primetime hours of 8-11pm with 644,000 in the key demographic of people aged 25-54. In comparison MSNBC managed to garner 2,439,000 viewers between their nightly lineup of Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell. They had 455,00 in the key age range. CNN came in a distant last place of the three during Wednesday’s primetime hours. Between Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon they only had 1,028,000 viewers with 344,000 people aged 25-54 watching. CNN had less than a third of Fox News’ viewers.
Hannity had a whopping 3.7 million viewers. It was the highest rated telecast since July 16 in both total viewers and the key age range. The show had over three times as many as CNN’s counterpart Chris Cuomo, who only had an audience of 1,115,000 people. (RELATED: Fox News’ Website Beats CNN Brand For The First Time Ever)
