Out with the old, in with the cats is what we always say.

So it’s nice to see that Monopoly, the best board game of all time, decided to revamp its “tokens” — the game pieces that each player chooses to represent oneself — by getting rid of the one that nobody ever wants to be.

The tiny iron has been replaced by a tiny cat, much to the delight of the Internet. (RELATED: The makers of Monopoly are trying to ruin your childhood memories)

Hasbro held a Facebook contest in which users could vote to save one of the eight original tokens, the dog, battleship, car, top hat, iron, thimble, shoe or wheelbarrow, and vote on one replacement.

The world did the right thing when choosing between a robot, cat, ring, guitar, helicopter and deciding on the cat.

The iron will be immediately taken out back to be shot, and will never see the light of Park Place ever again.

Monopoly’s newest and cutest token will pass go and collect $200 this fall.
