“Dr.” Phil McGraw posed the age old question, “If a girl is drunk, is it OK to have sex with her? Reply yes or no to @drphil” to his 1.17 million Twitter followers Tuesday evening.
The hack pop psychologist almost immediately deleted the tweet, but it was too late.
McGraw was apparently crowd sourcing responses for an upcoming show, according to a statement his team sent to BuzzFeed late Tuesday.
“This tweet was intended to evoke discussion leading into a very serious show topic. It was not intended to be taken lightly,” the statement read. “It’s based upon a recent news story, hence the #teensaccused label.”
Other questions floating around Dr. Phil’s head include “What is mustard made out of?” and “If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, did the bear actually take a shit?”
