AMC is milking its biggest shows for all they’re worth.

The cable network announced today that a spin-off series is in the works for  hit zombie apocalypse drama “The Walking Dead,” The Huffington Post reports.

“Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer,” Charlie Collier, AMC’s president and general manager, said of the “Walking Dead” spin-off.

The spin-off, which has no title yet, is set to air in 2015 and will focus on another part of the “Walking Dead” universe inhabited by entirely new characters. Robert Kirkman, who wrote the comic book series that inspired the original show, will be an executive producer on the spin-off, NY Daily News reports.

“After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” Kirkman said.

This announcement comes less than a week after AMC announced that “Better Call Saul” will be a spin-off of the network’s popular meth drama “Breaking Bad,” which will end its five-season run on Sept. 29. AMC’s other flagship series, “Mad Men,” ends its seven-season run in 2014. There has been no word yet on if AMC is exploring a spin-off for that show as well.

Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” premieres on Oct. 13 on AMC.
