Kate Upton declared war on Bill de Blasio Wednesday and, about three hours later, she won.
Following in Ashton Kutcher’s footsteps, the Sports Illustrated Swim model criticized the New York City mayor on Twitter for proposing a plan that would cap the growth of for-hire vehicle companies like Uber and Lyft.
Hours later, the de Blasio administration dropped its proposal.

Now, instead of voting on a proposal that would cap the growth of companies like Uber by limiting how many cars they can put on the road each year, the city has agreed to conduct a four-month study on “the effect of Uber and other for-hire vehicle operators on the city’s traffic and environment” first, The New York Times reports.
“Uber must adhere to the agreement,” the mayor’s chief spokesman Karen Hinton said. “Otherwise the cap gets put back on the table.” (RELATED: Even Kate Upton Is Furious With Bill De Blasio)
Uber’s general manager initially asked de Blasio to participate in a public debate with the company, but he said he didn’t debate with private corporations.

Along with Upton and Neil Patrick Harris, Kutcher criticized de Blasio’s proposal in a social media rant, and said the mayor was “destroying innovation” with his “corrupt shortsighted politics.” (RELATED: Ashton Kutcher Skewers Bill De Blasio In Scathing Facebook Post)
