During a Wednesday morning interview on “Fox & Friends,” Republican front-runner criticized the group of celebrities boycotting the Academy Awards on the grounds they are “too white.”

“I think it’s really sad,” noted the real estate tycoon. “I think it’s a tough situation. I saw somebody on your show today say, ‘well, what do we do with BET?’ Whites don’t get any nominations, and I thought it was an amazing interview. I’d never even thought of it from that standpoint.” (RELATED: Spike Lee — I’m Skipping The Oscars Because Too Many White People Were Nominated)

Earlier in the program, actress Stacey Dash claimed that America needs “to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration.”

“If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET, and the BET Awards and the Image Awards — where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” explained Dash. “If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”
