In an unusual political statement following the Orlando shooting, the cast of the hit musical Hamilton is apparently planning to drop muskets from its Sunday night performance for the Tony Awards.

The move was announced by Michael Paulson, theater reporter for The New York Times.

Two songs from the musical, “History Has Its Eyes On You” and “Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down),” depict Revolutionary War battles and consequently features muskets. Both are scheduled to be performed near the end of the Tony Awards. In the wake of Orlando, the show is going on, but the guns aren’t.

It’s unclear whether the guns are absent purely for sensitivity reasons, or if it is also intended as a show of support for gun control. (RELATED: Reddit Censors Comments ID’ing Orlando Attacker As Muslim)

In an earlier statement, the Tony Awards announced that the awards show will be dedicated to the victims of the Orlando shooting. The show begins at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
