In a sport where players typically have a low profile, John Daly is a black sheep who keeps things interesting. From teeing it up on beer cans to his “no shoes, no shirt, no problem” mentality, Daly has been frustrating the PGA for years.

USA Today reported on Daly’s most recent move, which involved spicing up his golf game in the final round of a Champions Tour event where he was in contention. After shooting 68 on both Friday and Saturday, Daly was three shots behind the leader going into the third round.

Sunday proved to be a little bit of a struggle, so the unconventional pro decided to start putting with only his left hand.

His method did not quite pay off, as he finished tied for 11th in the tournament. However, Daly should get credit for finishing one-over after a one-handed putting stunt.

Interesting that Daly was able to pull off his impressive second-day score after the late night he reportedly had on Friday. Barstool posted a video of Daly chugging a beer and singing a rendition of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” around 12:15 a.m. before his 8:50 a.m. tee time on Saturday.

Sometimes referred to as “Wild Thing,” John Daly has certainly proved himself worthy of the nickname.
