Mark Herring, the Democratic candidate for attorney general in Virginia, is refusing to address the Latino Victory Fund ad that showed Republicans hunting down minority children.

According to video shot by America Rising PAC from an event at a farmer’s market in Reston, VA, on Saturday, Herring repeatedly refused to answer questions about the advertisement. Herring is running for attorney general against Republican John Adams.
The ad, which was targeted at Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie, showed a truck with a Confederate flag chasing down and intimidating minority children. It was met with major backlash and was ultimately pulled after an ISIS-affiliated terrorist killed six people with a rental truck in New York City. Gillespie’s opponent, Democrat Ralph Northam, tried to distance himself from the ad but it was discovered through campaign finance reports that his campaign coordinated with the Latino Victory Fund on the ad.
Herring also would not indicate whether or not he is in support of sanctuary cities.
