What Is The Alexa Voice Remote?

If you have an Amazon Echo or an Amazon Echo Dot (the latter of which is still heavily discounted for Cyber Monday Deals Week, to the tune of only $30), you may find yourself frustrated with how close you have to be to the device in order for it to pick up your demands. If you live alone or your house is just super quiet, this is likely not a problem, but even then you have to be in the same room as the thing.

The Alexa Voice Remote is a device that solves that issue. It only costs $30, and it connects to the Echo and the Echo Dot via bluetooth. The remote has its own integrated microphone for you to speak into in order to command the Alexa that lives in your device. That way, Alexa will hear you even if the room is noisy or even if you are on a different floor. The remote also has buttons to control the Echo or Echo Dot – volume up, volume down, play/pause, previous and next – great for when you are in charge of operating the speaker at a party.

The Alexa Voice Remote isn’t necessarily a must-have if you have an Echo or Echo Dot. But it definitely helps.
