Netflix’s new movie “Bright” is worth checking out.

I recently made the decision to sit down and check out this movie during some downtime. I had absolutely no idea what I should expect. This movie stars Will Smith and Joel Edgerton as a cop duo where one is human (Smith) and the other is an orc (Edgerton).

Throw in an elf with a magic wand that is the equivalent of a nuclear bomb with wish granting ability, and a hit team of evil elves, Hispanic gang bangers, crooked cops and it made for a very wild film.

I must admit that my hopes for this movie weren’t high at all. How could such a wild premise possibly work? Well, it did, and “Bright” is a damn good movie. Smith and Edgerton crush it out of the park.

The shootout scenes are better than most traditional police movies I’ve actually seen.

It also doesn’t hurt that the actress for one of the elves, Lucy Fry, is a complete smoke show in real life.

I would absolutely recommend checking this one out on Netflix. It’ll be worth it.
