A lawyer from the President George W. Bush administration says President Donald Trump is “psychologically unfit” to be president and should be impeached.

Richard Painter took to Twitter Tuesday night in a backlash against Trump’s baiting of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, where the president compared his “nuclear button” to Kim’s.

“Two psychologically unfit men crowing about their nukes. This is not a good way to start the New Year. Congress needs to deal with one of them and the UN Security Council needs to deal with the other,” Painter tweeted in reference to Trump and Kim.

Painter, the vice chairman of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, appealed to the Constitution and the potential use of the 25th Amendment to impeach Trump.

“This Tweet alone is grounds for removal from office under the 25th Amendment. This man should not have nukes,” Painter tweeted. He also cited an amendment that allows the Vice President and cabinet to petition Congress to fire the president if he is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

Painter also exploded over Trump’s suggestion that former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin should go to jail and his contention that the Department of Justice demonstrates systematic bias.

“This Tweet is yet more evidence that this man is unfit for office in a democracy. House and Senate Republicans are nuts not to remove him,” Painter wrote.

Trump set off the controversy by informing Kim on Tuesday night that he a “much bigger & more powerful” nuclear button than the North Korean despot. Trump’s nuclear button is often referenced as the “nuclear football.”
