Always looking for new ways to throw dirt at President Donald Trump, North Korea has turned to Michael Wolff’s new bombshell book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”

While the new book, which casts the president in a decidedly unflattering light, has received mixed reviews, North Korea has come to the conclusion that its popularity “foretells Trump’s political demise,” asserting that its impressive sales represent “rapidly surging anti-Trump sentiments in the international community.”

“The anti-Trump book is sweeping all over the world so Trump is being massively humiliated worldwide,” the Rodong Sinmun, the state-run paper of the ruling Worker’s Party, assessed Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

The book, which the president decried as “fake” and makes a number of questionable allegations based off various anecdotal reports, paints a picture of a mentally-unstable and incompetent president. A New York Times book reviewer referred to the book as “liberal catnip.”

“I’ve had to put up with the Fake News from the first day I announced that I would be running for President,” Trump tweeted Sunday, “Now I have to put up with a Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author.”

While the White House has pushed back against the book, “Fire and Fury” has been a best seller since it was released last week. North Korea seems to think that its popularity predicts Trump’s downfall.

The title of the book is a reference to Trump’s warning to North Korea last August, when he told reporters that North Korea’s threats “will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” Since then, Trump and young North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un have been locked in a war of words.
