President Donald Trump threatened to cut off all U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority if they continue to refuse to negotiate for a peace process with Israel during a joint appearance Thursday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday.

WATCH:

Trump blasted the Palestinians for snubbing Vice President Mike Pence and refusing to meet with him in December 2017 after the president recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, lamenting, “they disrespected our great Vice President.”

The President continued that “the money is on the table” and said they will not receive it “unless they sit down and negotiate peace.”

Palestine has effectively cut off negotiations with the U.S. and Israel since Trump’s Jerusalem decision, maintaining that the city is its own capital.

Jerusalem is a holy site for both Judaism and Islam, making control of the city a controversial matter between the two states. Trump again maintained that by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, he had “taken it off the table” and therefore set the future terms of negotiation.
