Emma Watson debuted a new tattoo at the Oscars last night in support of the #MeToo movement but the decision might have backfired a bit.

She flashed the new ink on her right forearm, which read “Times Up.” Missed the apostrophe completely. Totally changed the meaning.

You had one job, Emma. I can’t be the only one thinking that this is a pretty bad look for her. Isn’t she supposed to be one of the faces of modern feminism? The girl’s got a degree from Brown University and has worked with the UN to advance women’s rights. She’s so woke that she actually combined two of the most irritating phrases in the world and coined the term “white privilege feminism.” (For those still sleeping out there – white privilege feminism is when you think it’s easy to be a feminist but then realize everything is easy for you because you’re white.)

You’d think someone who’s so painstakingly detail oriented about race, gender, and privilege would also be pretty concerned about matters of grammar and punctuation. Unless this is all a ploy to raise awareness for the uneducated. In that case, more power to her. I’d really like to see her get the wrong gender symbol next. That would be a great look on her.
