A knife-wielding attacker assaulted multiple people in Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday, according to local media.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening (local time) near the famous Prater Park. Three people were seriously injured, and the suspect is still on the run, according to Heute, an Austrian media outlet. The motive is presently unknown.
Photos from the scene of the attack showed what appeared to be blood stains on the ground. The victims of the attack included one man and two women between the ages of 40 and 50, local authorities revealed.
Residents have reportedly been instructed to remain indoors, and heavily-armed police have been dispatched to deal with the situation.
