Jamiel Shaw, whose son was killed by an illegal immigrant in 2008, said on Sunday that California Gov. Jerry Brown does not care about the safety of his own citizens.

Shaw responded to Gov. Brown’s recent pardon of five criminal illegal immigrants during a Fox News interview, asserting that Brown “doesn’t care about Americans.”

“He just wants to get back at Trump,” Shaw continued. “He’s going to put us all in danger just for a personal vendetta he has against the president…[Democrats] are willing to put Americans in danger for some votes.”

Shaw further argued that sanctuary policies have been harming Americans for years, noting that his son was killed in 2008 by an illegal immigrant who was recently released from jail.

“He was on his third gun charge and instead of them calling ICE, they just let him out into the city,” he said. “The same day he got out, they still killing. You know, they’re all used to the system, they know the system is skewed in their favor. Illegal aliens just have the state to themselves — they do whatever they want to.”
