LaVar Ball did not mince words when he told TMZ Sports what he thought of NFL players complaining about the league’s new national anthem policy.

“It’s their league. If you don’t want to do it, get out their league,” he said.

Ball did say that he felt the new policy — which requires all players on the field to stand for the anthem — may have gone too far. The NFL’s new regulation does allow players who choose not to stand the option of remaining in the locker room until after the national anthem has played. (RELATED: The Results Are In, And Most Americans LOVE The NFL’s Kneeling Ban)

Ball famously sparred with President Donald Trump over his son’s stint in a Chinese jail and his subsequent refusal to thank the president for his involvement in LiAngelo’s release. (RELATED: Trump Continues Attacks On Father Of Basketball Player)

Players in the junior basketball league started by Ball will stand for the national anthem, according to Ball.

“I got some youngsters, man. They going to do the anthem. They not going to be kneeling and doing all that … That’s why I got my own league. Do what I want.”
