“Apparently the president handed Kim Jong Un concessions in exchange for vague promises that do not approach a clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation,” the statement reads.

It went on, “In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo.”

Both President Trump and Kim Jong Un walked away from their meeting expressing positive sentiments about their interaction. (RELATED: Kim Jong Un Promises ‘Major Change’ At Trump Signing Ceremony)

“The president’s marginalization of the vast expertise of the State Department and his habitual disparaging of our allies as demonstrated at the G7 forum hinders a lasting, stable pathway to peace,” Pelosi concluded.

Earlier this month, the minority leader released a statement concerning the unemployment rate, which was critical of the president despite the fact that unemployment in the U.S. is lower than it has been in decades (Related: NANCY PELOSI DOESN’T THINK LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT, MORE JOBS IS A GOOD THING)
