Former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah said people may end up “in handcuffs” over their alleged ties to FISA abuses, Wednesday on “Fox & Friends.”

Chaffetz referenced FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s politically biased text messages against President Donald Trump and said the government’s politically motivated behavior could land certain people in prison. (RELATED: Jason Chaffetz Calls For Unmasking Of Biased FBI Agents To Congress)

“Did they engage in FISA abuse? Did they go and get warrants? That’s a work in motion. Been in motion for eight or nine months,” Chaffetz said. “That’s where you ultimately may see people in handcuffs.”

WATCH:

Strzok was escorted from FBI offices Friday as the bureau conducts a disciplinary review of his behavior.

He was the investigator on special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia team, but was removed back in July after it was discovered he had been sharing politically biased text messages and was having an affair with FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

These comments come just five days after Chaffetz called for more FBI Agents to be unmasked, in an effort to weed out political corruption within the federal government.
