White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders struck back at the Washington Post’s token conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin, in a Tuesday morning interview on Fox and Friends.

Rubin claimed in a recent MSNBC interview that Sanders should be harassed for the rest of her life due to her position in the Trump administration and supposed transgressions. Sanders brushed off the remarks on Fox and Friends, saying “I will do what I tell my kids to do to treat everybody with respect whether I disagree with them,” adding “maybe Jennifer Rubin can learn a thing or two from that.”

Rubin’s comments were sparked by Virginia restaurant Red Hen’s recent decision to deny service to Sanders and her family while dining out. The incident sparked a media sensation and discussion of civility in politics.

Sanders revealed that she had dined out at a restaurant in recent days since the Red Hen incident but that she would not disclose the name of the establishment but that the occasion went “fine.”
