The outrage began when conservatives on Twitter started to notice the items being sold and asking why the store would stand beside such an extreme political statement.

Ryan Fournier, president of nonprofit organization Students For Trump, asked, “Why are you selling Impeach 45 baby clothes on your website????? What kind of message are you trying to send?”

In the wake of the outrage, many conservatives began tweeting  Walmart has since responded to the outrage by removing all of the items that asked for Trump’s impeachment. Walmart said in a tweet:

“These items were sold by third-party sellers on our open marketplace and were not offered directly by Walmart. We’re removing these types of items pending review of our marketplace policies.”

The items numbered many dozens before their removal. Screenshots taken by the Daily Caller show:

Now every item page for ‘Impeach 45’ merchandise shows up as a 404.

Walmart has previously found itself in hot water for selling politically controversial shirts. Walmart banned a shirt company that designed a item which read “Rope. Tree. Journalist. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.”
